LNG Plant,UK- Vibration Monitoring/Post Processing and Piping Assessment
Project Definition
RNi7 provided services for the 4×360 MW Elbistan Thermal Power Plant piping to evaluate remaining life assessment per ASME B31G and to review and approve retrofits in the main steam, cold reheat, hot reheat, LP steam, and feed water piping systems.
Description
The project was executed using Hexagon’s CAESARII. Following a water hammer incident, an as-built analysis was performed to determine the post-incident pipe position. A site survey was conducted to correlate with the analysis findings, and a retrofit analysis was subsequently carried out.
Key Deliverables
• ASME B31.1 stress analysis report
• ASME B31G assessment
• Detailed recommendations for support design improvements
• Spring hanger, snubbers data sheets
Value Proposition
The piping analysis presented unique challenges due to the existing aging design. RNi7’s extensive experience and expertise enabled the delivery of a workable design that avoided major design changes and minimized cost and schedule impacts for the customer.

Project Definition
RNi7 delivered a comprehensive integrity assessment for a critical operating facility by leveraging advanced vibration measurement techniques and thorough pipework evaluations—ensuring long-term reliability and safety.
Description
High-Temperature TiCl4 Gas Line and Pressure Vessel Vibration assessment was performed using Combination of both permanently affixed vibration monitoring system and spot checks. Measurements were performed under dynamic conditions induced by low-frequency excitation (Cavitation) of an 800-tonne pressure vessel under normal operating conditions.
Fatigue life calculations of the system as well as defining maximum allowable displacement characteristics for the pipework and structural steelwork.
Key Deliverables
- Custom-engineered large dampers expertly designed to significantly reduce vibration levels
- Comprehensive piping integrity assessment report with actionable insights
- Tailored recommendations for enhanced pipework design and support systems, optimized to extend fatigue life and ensure operational continuity
Value Proposition
With deep expertise in vibration-related challenges, RNi7 provides innovative, bespoke solutions that not only mitigate risks but also optimize system performance—delivering peace of mind and measurable cost savings for our clients.

Project Definition
RNi7 was tasked with conducting a detailed vibration analysis of the MP Main pipework under normal operating conditions. Our goal was to identify vibration characteristics and the resulting stresses during various operating states of the reciprocating compressor and associated piping systems.
Description
We thoroughly assessed the dynamic behavior of the pipework and found that velocity spectra exceeded acceptable limits as defined by Energy Institute guidelines. These elevated dynamic stress levels had significantly shortened the fatigue life of the piping system. To address this, we proposed targeted remediation measures, including the strategic installation of restraints near small bore pipework to effectively reduce dynamic stresses within safe limits.
Key Deliverables
- Comprehensive vibration data collection and advanced post-processing analysis
- Custom design and implementation oversight of modifications to reduce localized vibration levels
- Accurate determination of remaining fatigue life based on historical operational data
Value Proposition
Leveraging our deep asset integrity engineering expertise, RNi7 delivered a complete, practical solution that restored system reliability and extended asset life—helping our client avoid costly downtime and unplanned repairs.

Project Definition
Comprehensive vibration measurement, data analysis, and integrity assessment of high-pressure pipework.
Description
RNi7 conducted advanced vibration monitoring on high-pressure descaling pipework at a leading steel production facility. Our assessment covered non linear startup conditions, pressure pulsations, and overall system health of multi-stage piston compressors, focusing on their impact on pipework fatigue life. Through detailed dynamic stress analysis, we accurately established the remaining fatigue life of the piping system. To ensure long-term reliability, we developed and implemented targeted remediation actions to enhance pipe integrity.
Key Deliverables
- Accurate vibration data collection and advanced post-processing
- Comprehensive integrity assessment including remaining fatigue life calculations based on historical and operational data
Value Proposition
RNi7 delivered actionable integrity assessments and tailored, practical recommendations to optimize piping performance, ensuring safe and cost effective operations tailored to the unique conditions of the client’s site.
